my life in your hands

Sitting on the porch swing
Thinking I don't need anything
How could I have been so wrong

All my friends are gone
And I am all alone
My heart is empty without you

God...
Let your Grace fill my heart
Let your Spirit fill me
God...
I place my life in your hands

God...
Your Grace and love is all I need
Your Spirit sets me free
God...
I place my life in your hands

Staring at the cross
My heart breaking at the cost
How could you love a man like me

God...
Let your Grace fill my heart
Let your Spirit fill me
God...
I place my life in your hands

God...
Your Grace and love is all I need
Your Spirit sets me free

Oh God, I place my life in your hands

Hello,

Its a great prayer but is a bit sad in tone. Do we really need to be sad in our prayers to GOD.

If one is to be honest, then yes, one would be sad in their prayers, if that is how they feeling at the time. The same could be said for happy, elated, repentent, etc. I think God, who desires a relationship with us, wants us to come in an honest and open way, as we really are at the moment.
